Great pumpkin shot. We went and got our pumpkins the other day and I thought, "how cool would it be to do an E-session in pumpkin patch"

I love the pumpkin, I just wish he wore different shoes. Great pic overall though.

Thanks sooo much, guys! When I got back home from the session last night I couldn't wait to get my hands on that pumpkin shot and post it! :D:D

Jules, the 2nd photo was shot with 70-200L 2.8, it's my absolute fave lens for e-sessions. The first one I think was my 17-55.

I usually try and come up with a few shots every session that I haven't done before and the season (Thanksgiving/Halloween) presented a great opportunity. I bought this pumpkin for my son to carve and thought that before he actually does it I might use it for this engagement session. :) Gina is quite tiny and I wasn't scared that she might smash the pumpkin by standing on it and I loved all the colors - orange, red, brown, blue! I love b/w but this would totally work in color! Robert was king enough to help me take the pumpkin in and out of the car because the beast was heavy! :) Anywho we had tons of laughs when shooting this. :):)

I agree with everyone.... They looked happy in 2 and they seem to trust your instincts in 1. You seem to really relate to the people you shoot... Never said this before, but good work.

Dave, thank you so much! This really means a lot to me. I do try and make my clients comfortable with the camera that's why most of the time I shoot with 70-200 so I'm not in their faces. Some people need more direction than others and I know that my weak point is posing, trying to work on that.
