Looking to step up my game.. suggestions?

I feel like it needs a more defined point of interest, perhaps a sunset/sunrise, more defined footprints or something like that. That said I am a bit of a newb, so I would wait for some more experienced photographers' comments before changing anything.

Good idea - next best thing to having a person or a personable pet in the scene.

The curves and the placement of important portions of the scene give an excellent composition.

i agree with the above comments. When i look at this my eye is lost - it just does not hold my attention. If you were trying to emphasize the footsteps then maybe make them the focal point of the picture.

maybe get lower to the ground...and include a foreground subject like a big rock to make it more interesting
