I have been reading the specs since I had a chance to shoot a pre prod without any cards. I had no idea what the specs are.

I find that this is a complete camera.

NEW AF that actually works. 39 cross type f2.8 points. Ai servo II
Weather sealed and good battery
Full HD video 24p and 30p
16 mp
1.3 crop for more inexpensive reach
10 fps for sports and Pj shooting.
Amazing High ISO
16 bit tiff possibility with DPP
Great viewfinder
great ergonomic's

This is a great body and yes price is high but...if you want it and need it you will buy it!

AT $5000, the price is about the same as what a used 1Ds mkIII has been selling for some time - so that is really our feature comparison. Built for different purpose, but many wildlife photographers have been using the 1Ds MkIII for that for some time.

I think since its MSRP is $5000 so i think it will sell for like $4500. Isnt that what the 1DIII started out selling for as well

Ok...

i was about to say...

so you used a pre production model with no cf cards and yet you were able to determine that the AF is finally working as it should?

Yes I was able to determine since I was not allowed to use my CF card but the reps one. I was not allowed to download the images other then on his computer which he then deleted.

I come from the 1DII, 1DsII and 1DIII background and I can properly test bodies.

You will see with time!

I also tested another toy that is coming out soon...it's a lens. A best seller that got rebuilt!
