Ambient would have been 6400/400 bit under exposed. Had a bunch of images front focused for some reason, I'm going to micro adjust the lens a bit for next game. Haven't seen it before so I thought it was strange.

1. I was back as far as I could go on this, the 300 is not a good portrait lens.

Pretty weak night over all but the last two Fridays have been pretty bad at my real career so it has left me in a bad mood, but it is what it is. Thanks for looking and comments always welcome.

Actually very true Dave. Funny it started out as only a few and more and more kept coming in. I kept stepping back until I ran in to the fence.

Great work as always. I had a group at the football all star game last summer that wanted me to take their picture next to a support banner on the field. All I had was my 400. Ended up taking it from 65 yards away. I had to waive at them to let them know where to look. :-)

Hopefully I will have a decent flash next fall...hopefully a 580 EXII. The Targus flash I have right now does not do that good at night football. I got what I paid for.

These are very nice flashed images. Subtle, yet effective. Great job! #5 is my fave.

I always make sure my cheapo 18-55 (small and light) is somewhere in the bag just in case I need to take shots from close distances.

Danny, I can't stand this crap anymore. Week after freakin week of outstanding flashed football, sheesh, why don't you just push me off the ledge. Clearly Devane jumped a week ago since we haven't heard from him. Great stuff here. Not a fan of the last one, something about the angle and lack of context just doesn't excite me but the rest are bangers. Great job man! TTL, huh?

It's true. I can't compete. And both my daughters have been battling the H1N1 virus. Hasn't been a good week.

Nice shots Dan.

Nice set. Normally I'm not a big fan of flashed football, but these could turn me around.

That is funny kevin.

Sibil I shoot with a second body with a 70-200 and wear a belt with a 16-35 in it so I have it covered. I was just walking around pre-game with just the 300 at the time.

Ettl Scott, but I didn't have the consistency I have been having. It was a weird night. One of those where you just scratch your head and blame it on your equip.I just never have seen that many front focused before. Like I said, my head wasn't really into it and I'm sure that was the main reason. Thanks Scott.

Sounds fun John. That is what you get for leaving So. Cal. Your next by the way.

Thanks everyone!

The more I thought about it, I think your wife is still pissed about that fan shot and figured out how to microadjust your lens OUT of focus. :-)
