CC welcomed!! I am always working on my portfolio and it helps to have other opinions!

I've really been working on trying to get full body shots, cause my portfolio is lacking them.

1. are the shadows on the left side of her coat really bad that I should keep it out of my port? What about the shadow by her feet?

Well I think they are gorgeous just as they are :-)

Is this all only natural light? Use of a speedlight?
I tried to take some nice outdoor pics of my son but get some very harsh shadows and it was cloudy...

These are just natural light, it was a very overcast day, but yeah I still got some shadows. I think I need to start embrasing my speedlite, especially for the ones like the first one where there aren't any catchlights.

Love that 2nd shot, very nice.

Wish I could make my 1 yr old to wear a hat or stand still or both. Maybe it is boy vs girl thing.

you have to get them right before they learn to actually walk (or with my son, run), when they are first just standing its the perfect time for a photo shoot :)
