Well, first off, thanks very much for your kind review of my pictures!

My secrets aren't really that secret in that the exif info gives most of them away! The lens I used for most of them, the EF14L is probably the best part of it as it's such a wide angle lens that you can really take in massive vistas in a single shot; and shooting manually to obtain the optimal DOF and exposure is the second. But, as you mentioned, being in the right place at the right time trumps everything else. ;)
