I like the composition, but I would have thought colour would work better for this sort of shot... unless you've got some distracting background colour to shift attention from?

Not really distracting...actually i was just messing around with lightroom and liked the way that it turned out...and the flowers were starting to die off when i took this and weren't really at their best color anymore. The tips of the petals are starting to brown and curl.
