ISO 102,400 seems usable here, although I would like to see a larger image.

They're available in larger sizes now - he's updated things in his flickr account. I wish I was on my desktop - this laptop screen stinks.

Forget the IV and the ISO tests, I want one of these! (external link) :D

Preserved for future reference. Canon probably won't like that one. :)

Here are some cool ISO 102k 100% crops from poppho.com

http://www.popphoto.com …mages/BigAppleCircus1-100 (external link)

That's impressive! Noisy, but it's ISO 102K!!
No direct comparisons yet, but I think Nikon will have a bit of an advantage over the 1D4 - perhaps even a stop based on these very early shots. I wonder if it'll autofocus in -5 EV,... :)

It's obviously terribly noisy, that's a given, we wouldn't use it for high quality prints and landscapes, but perfectly usable for paparazzi for getting that unmissable shot in the dark.

Is it just me or does it look like Nikon does a lot of color noise reduction in camera?

Sure does. Canon shots also show no shortage of noise reduction.

Nah the currency is pretty even these days..I think we're at 1:1 ratio nearly with the USA

5,000.00 USD

=

5,267.50 CAD

United States Dollars Canada Dollars 1 USD = 1.05350 CAD 1 CAD = 0.949217 USD

That can't be good for the economy down there....
