So the title pretty much sums it up, when I open lightroom the reds on my monitor look different. It changes several things, but the reds are the most noticeable. Not just when I'm in LR, but it seems to change the entire profile of my monitor. Is that normal?

Wow, that doesn't sound good! How is your monitor calibrated/profiled? Is your monitor being returned to its unprofiled state, or to another profile?

To clarify: Do you mean images look different in LR3 then in other software, or do you actually mean that the entire monitor changes color (also outside of LR3)?

At first I thought it was just my pictures in LR that looked different but then I noticed my web browser had a different coloring as well as outlook and my desktop folders. my entire monitor color scheme looked altered.

That's the exact same thing with mine. My screen seems to get brighter and the colors shift. Good to know I'm not going crazy.

I use a laptop, windows vista ultimate. Intel dual core etc etc.
