These from yesterday, a naturally apearing yellow flower in a place were there's no catle, no forest no agruculture and no gardening. Yet there is a lot of pollen weevils looking for pollen and spiders looking for opportunities.

This shoot was taken almost at night, was waiting the complete dark for astronomical observing.

less than 1cm far from the weevil but have not much interest on it neither the weevil appeared scared by the spider. A very young crab, the image in horizontal is about 4mm long. I shoot the weevil first and the spider last and the spider hide after his shoot. Appeared more interested in being photographed than in eating weevils.
Photo taken with Canon 100mm macro USM, adapter Raynox MSN-202 and 580 EX II flash.

A lot of coleopters near also, but the spiders were not eating them too, not sure if weevils and coleopters have good taste to spiders.

Weevil shot is very good, nice sense of it exploring the environment. Teutonia looks a good place to find subjects.

Thanks, these are naturally ocurring plants in a place abandoned for agriculture long time ago. These are more friendly for insects than exotic and difficult to care imported plants.

This week I shoot a "failed" shoot (my finger appeared behind weevil) but uploaded anyway to show how small these weevils are. Have seen people finding 1cm weevils, these are far smaller than this:
