Often taken pics of flat-footed flies doing their display routine by running around leaves at high speed but never caught any successfull outcomes until yesterday. Last shot shows you can't stop fruit flies- even in the rain.

Were they mating? Its hard to imagine them doing it in that position. Maybe they just finished and he is about to take off. Very unique capture. Standing on the eye is amazing.
