Sometimes if you have enough length high humidity and high temperature forces you to go closer because the air shimmers. Taken at a distance of about 20 meters, through a fence. (Chester Zoo) Absolutely no PP done, except resize and crop. And the white spot between eye and nose is a catchlight in a tear drop, not a hot pixel. I just love this lens now that I have got it focusing right. I needed -7 microadjust. The contrast it delivers is wonderful. The IS is outstanding (and absolutely essential at this length, even on a tripod). Andrew
