This is my first photo sharing post here. Would be interested to hear what you all think. There's some family shots in there as well but most are landscape/nature shots:

Nice shots (gorgeous child) but you'd be better off choosing 4-6 images within a theme and embedding them here so folks don't have to click off to another site to see them.

Nice shots. Like the long exposure in #6. I'm not an expert, but you might try moving your points of interest/focus away from center. Look up Rule of Thirds. :)

Thanks. Yes - I do try to compose around 3rds and hadn't really noticed that my fave shots from my trip actually had more of a centre focus. I sometimes find it's the shots that I didn't think about so much that I end up liking but now you mention it I think some of them would benefit from better composition.

Thanks again.

Just did a re-edit of the long exposure shot. I'll link to it as I've exported at a large size and is probably too large to post here:

I always say rules are there to be broken  - if you like the way you have focussed then thats all that matters. I cant see a problem with the focal point in any of the landscape images posted above (except the trees look as though they are on a bit of a slant - I often get the horizon wrong lol).

I think they are fabulous images and I personally would not have changed the point of focus for any of them.

I agree #6 is a lovely shot and I agree it would be better offset a bit. I also like #4, it has a gloomy look to it and I half way expect to find elves or goblins lurking about! ;)
