My wife at a recent wedding, where I was the photographer. This one is test-processed in LR3.0 Beta, so there is no Luma noise reduction (only 22 in color).

Holds up quite well at high ISO

1/100s f/2.5 at 85.0mm iso1600

To re-state the obvious, I'm a horrible landscape photographer, but soon enough everything will be covered in snow, so I have to get a bit of outdoor shooting in before I'm shut indoors for five months.

There is nothing horrible about this. I love it!

not a bad shot. Next time try exposing on the sky a little more, maybe come down a full stop or 1.5. I tried to play around with it a little bit, but a lot of the highlights are blown. In B&W it looks cool though because you get the glow on the tops of the grass and it's composed in a good spot. But if you could have saved some of the cloud detail, that would have helped.

I'll preface this with "To Each His Own"...

But I disagree. I don't know what Brett was looking for with this shot, but I think he nailed it. I like that the sky is blown out in this instance. It doesn't all need to be exposed for every detail in the image, and I think this is a great example. You could have also advised to use a hood to reduce lens flare, but I think it adds to this photo. Nice work, Brett.
