Called b&h today to buy a hensel ringflash(994.00)3410 they said it was on back order for 6-8 weeks. Called adorama they said it was on back order. I then called hensel directly and talk to one of there salesperson they said they had them in stock ready to go. I guess my money was not good enough at either place ended up ordering from a local store who deals with hensel and will receive my flash in the next few days.

Thanks b&h and Adorama

What I'm trying to say is that they CAN get it and its not on b/o just dont understand why either don't take the sale. Never had a problem them before don't know whats going on.

Because they can't stock every product ever made ALL the time. Even Walmart runs out of stock on a product occasionally and they have stores the size of small towns.

When they say it's on "back order", I think they are saying that they don't have it in stock, not that the manufacturer or some other store doesn't have it in stock.

maybe the manufacturer doesn't want to sell it through B&H... or some other middleman has to get involved... (aka might not be B&H's fault!)

I guess this is the wrong place to post this. I never complain about anything as I'm a very easy going person. I just wanted to know if anyone had experience this with b&h or adorama as they are a very big companies. If had time and could wait I would have ,but I had models shots this weekend and needed the flash. I could not rent as nobody in my area rents this type of equipment. I'm very surprise at the responses.

Oh yeah when walmart runs out of milk I always run down to the little mom and pop store that always has it available:D

Thanks

I understand that, but they said 6-8 weeks when I called. I called Marc at Hensel they had them in stock and said they could get to them in 2 days. Doesn't matter I'm getting it Friday from Carousel studios which ordered it from hensel.

Thanks anyway
