I don't know if you are aware of this but Canon is currently offering a $50 rebate on the T1i through their "loyalty" program. You just need to be a registered Canon EOS owner and submit the rebate form with your new camera purchase. That brings a new T1i body purchase down to $599 at B&H (currently $649). Couple that with finding the item through Bing and you can probably get it brand new for around $580 or so. Maybe a little less at another retailer.

They also have a rebate program on their PIXMA Pro printers when purchased with certain EOS camera bodies. If you purchase this camera new through Bing you get a $400 rebate (for the PIXMA Pro 9000 + T1i) plus your Bing cashback. The price for the PIXMA Pro 9000 is $446 so you could say you are basically getting the printer for free.

does this work with refurbs? Unless it is an instant rebate I don't really like the mail in type. I have done the mail in's in the past and done everything I was supposed to but never received any money back.

Mail in rebate on new camera bodies. I know what you mean with MIRs. They can be a hassle but I think I've gotten everyone I've ever sent in for.

I went to bing and searched for "used stuff" (I already new what to search for from a previous site) on the right hand side of the search the 1st link should be the ebay with the 8% cash back you have to search for the t1i on ebay just copy and paste Canon Digital Rebel T1i SLR Body, Black, Refurbished

If you don't have an account with bing sign up for one first.
