Haven't posted any shots up in a while but was shooting high school football all weekend and thought I would post this shot of a nice sunset background at Marina Auto Stadium in Rochester, NY...taken with Mark III with 70-200mm at 70mm, f/2.8, iso 2000, ss 1/800. Any C&C appreciated...

Pretty shot. Looks like the first play of the game given the time of season.

Love the lighting and very nice low angle. Too bad the action is leading away from you.

Actually it was a 5:30 game before daylight savings and the shot was midway throught the 2nd quarter. Here's a shot with some action near the sideline.

+1

only critique would be to have the players a bit brighter so they are your main focus.

Woah, woah, woah Chris....you say I can't sleep when I have games to edit and here you are posting shots on POTN when you have games to edit. For shame young jedi, for shame :)

**Note: I finished my high school games tonight - down to ONE college game to go!!

You gonna be at Marina tomorrow since I'll be on the mic being a PA announcer instead at a b-ball tournament instead of shooting? Little disappointed gonna miss Attica/Letchworth, especially if they pull it out! Michael will be there, and maybe your buddy Jimmmmyyy will show up!!

Nice sky, how come all we got was dark and dreary when I was there?

Lol, I finished all football from the weekend yesterday. I am in the process of finishing a soccer sectional game from two days ago and then this weekend it will start all over again. Tonight, I plan on shooting some of the Attica game and the Aquinas game to follow. Not sure yet for Saturday shooting. When the sky lit up I took as much as I could of players and the background...70mm was as low as I could go before the sky was gone within 10 minutes.

Thanks! Yes, I was very low (without an angle finder) because I only had my 300mm and 70-200mm on me and I was trying to include as much of the sky as I could...
