So I took a few shots of things with my new 7D....in RAW. I went to my IMAC to look at them in Photoshop CS4....when I tried to open them it said that it was NOT the right kind of document...did I do something wrong...is there an update...software, issues?

looks like you need to have ACR 5.5 installed for the 7d:

i had the same issue go to the adobe site and download the RAW 5.5 that will allow you to open the files, although people are saying this is just a temp fix and there will be another download some time around dec/jan which will be full 7D raw support. hope this helps

You don't have to go to Adobe. While you are in bridge click on help and then click on updates. Follow the instructions and that will give you a beta version of RAW for your 7D. The final version seems to be taking forever.
