Let me know what settings you want to see and I'll take some from my 50D. I have some free time and I'm new to Tamron so it'll be good exp.

Nothing in particular, just some samples at ISO100 and fast shutter speeds to completely rule out camera shake.

Oh, I see how it is, well maybe my XT and I will leave....

I don't have anything against the XT, i still have mine and love it. The 7D/T1i are more demanding though and some of my lenses have trouble with the 18/15 MP sensors.

I'd love to see more regular everyday shots from ANYBODY that has this lens! :)

That book shot was great, gave an idea of how sharp the lens is. Get out there and shoot! once I get mine I'd like to be the first to start the sample archive thread (if nobody beats me to it). :)

Exactly. It's nice to see how well the handles "vibration" etc, but I want to see if this lens produces as VIBRANT and as CRISP shots as the non VC version.

Photographers do it in 1/1,000th of a second...but the memory lasts forever! ;)

The problem with this is that 99.999999% of these are from NIKON... No one really cares about the nikon as they have been seen before.

What is the difference?,
you want to see how the lens renders sharpness and color
Is not very relevant to me that it was a nikon or canon don't you agree?
Or is it just a matter of Canon Fanaticism?

The only Canon mount pic with the VC I've seen is the book on this thread
Im still looking for a 17-50 VC for Canon in stock and I haven't found it.

It's Canon fanaticism. Not sure what it is but Canon folks love them some canon.

It has nothing to do with Canon Fanaticism... When I want to buy a Jeep, I dont go test driving and looking at a Dodge cause it has the same engine... There 2 different products, looking at results for one, and then thinking what you are going to get will be the exact same is asinine.

Well
I think you are buying the Tamron, Not the Nikon
Is the same lens.
Even if you argue that Nikon has slight different color than Canon, that argument is not applicable by the simple fact of the different users using different softwares, and taking and processing different RAW or Jpegs and simply moving the saturation and contrast slider in a different way.

Now, if we where to talk about AF speed, or accuracy, I would agree completely that we need to test it on a Canon body

And we are just looking at different pictures taken with the lens to have a rough idea of what the lens is capable, not a real test / comparison.

Life is too short..I guess you will just have to wait till the Canon mount is widely available to have an impression on this lens

So far, I like what I see, It looks like a promising lens, but we all know that since we are reading this thread.
Cheers;)

Thanks for the link. Now hopefully all of us who ordered/are looking for one can finally get one and post pictures and let words speak for themselves. :)
