I bought an inexpensive one on E bay most of the time it works but at times in can be very inconsistent I guess for what it cost its about what you would expect.

Could you let me know the pros/cons of the Yongnou RF602's. What is missing in units like these in comparison to say pocket Wizards?

Same here. I bought the wireless version for my 50D - great price and it works perfectly. Click on the red-letter link at the top of the page that says "P.O.T.N. SUPPORT SHOP IS OPEN, check it out now!"

From what I've read, you can't use ETTL with those ebay triggers.

Er? They're shutter releases, right? They won't affect E-TTL operation one way or another. If you want radio E-TTL flash control, you're looking at a different and more expensive solution (which may also support remote triggering of your camera as a side benefit).

Like PWs, but unless you get the TT5/Mini TT1 (at $200ish each), you don't have E-TTL with the PWs either. And you'd need a shutter release cable to go with them (at another $100 or so, PW prices)
