Here's a shot of one of our pet snakes, taken by my wife and edited by me. He's a Brazilian Rainbow Boa, so named for the rainbow iridescence you see in the scales.

Got this today at the ND/UConn game; corner of the end zone, 44mm:ISO200:1/320@f4.8 (actually I used "P", as I usually do when I want to shoot secondarily to some other enjoyment). A little blown highlight, but the shadow will do that, I still love the action shot for a P&S, and I got a good anticipation of the shutter lag.
