I'm a bit slow posting this one, mainly because i've been sufffering the after-effects of the walk (or should that be climb?) out of the Forest after the rally!

For some reason this year's event didn't have its usual "wow" factor, possibly due to the large number of Ford Escorts entered. The field also seemed to be massively reduced by the time it got to us but the official list of retirements didn't support that....very strange.

Anyhoo, onto the pictures...

1. Some say he kills Pheasants armed with only a Ford Escort and a windscreen, all we know is, he's called Stig.....Blomqvist , that is.

[IMAGE TOO SMALL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]

2. A MK1 Escort...
[IMAGE TOO SMALL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]

3. Oh look, another Escort. Too much of a good thing etc...
[IMAGE TOO SMALL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]

4. There was a distinct shortage of Cortinas out to play...
[IMAGE TOO SMALL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]

5. We shifted positions for the 1st run of the Kall-Kwik Rally...to be honest we should have used this spot first.

6. Porsche 914 playing in the mud...
[IMAGE TOO SMALL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]

7. Pug 205 playing even deeper in the clarts...

All the above were taken with the 7D. #1 was hand-held with the Sigma 70-200 f2.8, but i quickly changed to the 120-300 on the monopod as my left arm can't support the weight of a camera & lens at the moment. This led to me junking most of my hand-held stuff due to camera shake.

Thanks for looking in. Over to you, if you can be bothered :p

Pretty cool to see a 914 do that.

Nice photos, but I don't think you can ever have too many Escorts in a rally!

Love the caption in #1 Geoff - Class!

Great selection of images. Like the 914 and the Manta a lot.
