I spent a day in Langdale Forest on Saturday with Geoff (GSH) for the annual running of the Roger Albert Clark and Kall Kwik Rallies. For once, the weather forecast was about spot on, and I'm pleased to say that the worst of the gales and pretty much all of the rain had passed through on Friday night. I can't put my finger on exactly why, but the event left me a bit luke warm this year. The field seemed quite depleted by the time it got to where we were, and while Escorts are great to watch, you can have too much of a good thing at times. Anyway, enough waffle, and on to some pictures: -

#1 Taking a big cut through a deep puddle!

All of the shots were taken with a Canon 7D and a Sigma 120-300 f2.8 EX DG HSM.

As usual, any comments or feedback most welcome. There's a full gallery on my website - http://www.srh-motorsport-photography.co.uk …09+Season/Rallying/RAC09/ (external link) - for those that are interested.

Cheers,

Simon.

Very nice shots Simon. That 7D is performing very well. I think you are gradually convincing me I should be upgrading from my 50D!

Thanks :D

The 7D is a superb bit of kit. For everything I have pointed it at so far, it is easily at least as good as my 1D mk II.

I gonna get me one of those cameras that you need a cape thing with. That way I might get something worth keeping

Cheers,

Simon.

Lovely stuff Simon. The Kadette shot gets my vote.
