I shot well over 1,000 images of this Hawk while it hunted and then ate the Squirrel it caught.

Side note....when the Hawk decided to change perches I was in the middle of changing CF cards...in the confusion I put in the original CF card that was filled back in and proceded to format the card like I usually do....after about another 200 images on the original card I realized my brainfart...Rescue Pro does work....lol.

7. And this is how my weekend started out. Standing talking to a security guard and another photographer and this is what landed in front of us...a young RTH.

Another side note...I went through all of my previous RTH images and realized this is definately the same Hawk I've photographed over the years. The right talon has a broken toe and I just noticed it last night. Definately creatures of habit.

Superb series Duane! Congrats! Question, do you think the middle toe on his right foot is broken or something? I notice in these pics it appears to be laying over to the side.

It's nice to find a cooperative RTH every now and then..my dream Hawk. Thank you.

Mike...I made note of that under the last image I posted. I used the toe to go back through all my Hawk images over the years and this one is a regular and I have a lot of photographs of it. Thanks for the observation and the reply.
