Hey guys,

I shot some images yesterday using a friends 5DMkII, and went to open the images in CS4 Camera Raw just now, and it says "Could not be completed because Photoshop does not recognise this type of file"...

Can anyone tell me what's happening, or how this can be changed so I can open these files? Usually CS4 is fine with opening raw images...it just seems to not want to co-operate with these shots.

Any help is much appreciated.

Tristan.

I wasn't aware i'd need to install a special Camera Raw for 5DII files. How do I go about installing this?

It's just the updated version of Camera Raw. If available, use the "Updates" line from the Help menu in CS4 and it will automatically update it for you. Otherwise go here http://www.adobe.com …ads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4578 (external link) (Windows) or here http://www.adobe.com …ads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4569 (external link) (Mac) and follow the instructions EXACTLY to do it manually.

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

Thanks for the help. Hopefully this should work.
