Instead of fighting the shopping crowds on "Black Friday", my husband and I decided to take a drive and look for some trophy mule deer instead. Since it is the middle of hunting season, most of the big boys were pretty spooky, but we were able to find a few nice ones!

Okay, so he isn't exactly trophy material...but he sure was cute!

These guys were a little bigger...

A much better way to spend the day than fighting the crowds at Wal-Mart!

Looks to me the first one is a whitetail. The others are nice mule deer.

Yep, you are right...I didn't think of my title when I stuck that little guy in there! I think he was actually somebody's pet. He even waited patiently about 10 feet away while I put my flash on since it was getting a little dark and he was so close. He just laid there and chewed his cud like a cow, not the least bit concerned. He made a wonderful model while I practiced some different flash settings for a few minutes, and then we left him alone!
