Cybersync is the name of Paul C Buff's (alienbee) wireless triggering system.

They trigger a flash used off of the camera via radio signal.

YOU ARE SO HELPFUL!

Forum rule #9. If you know an answer to a question either answer it or say nothing. Or just give the link to that post you wished the newbie should have searched for. Respect newbies - you were a newbie once.

A fellow member Dave or David (Canonoob) uses this setup to remotely trigger the camera.

Joe,
You can use them with some limitations. I got this via email from Lon who runs flashzebra which sells the accessory cords to make this work.

The #0090 (cable) will work with the CyberSyncs with these limitations

1) The CyberSync receiver must be a battery unit.
2) The CyberSync receiver must have been ordered after about mid July 2008
(note this 2008 not 2009)
3) There will be no burst mode, single shot mode only (although you may
need to place the camera in burst mode to get single shot function). This
is a limitation of the CyberSync receiver, not the cable.
