Look like we may have a shipping problem with the USA Nifty. We just have to wait and see.

Need me to drive down to San Diego and pick up Nifty?

Would that put me at the top of the list?
Then again, Belmondo lives close to there. And since he donated this Nifty to the cause, I wonder if he wouldn't mind taking a ride to get things going again?!?!?!?

It would be a lot shorter trip for me. And yes, I would be very willing to make a trip to San Diego to get things moving again.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Turns out he's not in San Diego any more. This was posted not terribly long ago.

Ouch. That's a long drive.
And all my relatives have either moved away from the Boston area, or passed away.

Anybody from Massachusetts?

Oooooopsie.. Not in San Diego, but in the wind. I'm working on it. Hopefully it is just a bad time to be shipping. I should have picked it up while I was in SoCal and mailed it myself. I'll keep you all posted.

Meanwhile I hope Peter is having some good luck repairing the EuroNifty

So there seems to be lots of confusion as to what happened with Nifty. I shipped Nifty off on Saturday November 21st by priority flat rate mail. Nifty hasn't been returned to me but I also understand that Nifty has not been received in New Mexico. I don't know what's happened and I hope that Nifty reaches his destination very soon. I understand that I was ill when Nifty was here and wasn't a very good host, but I'm not holding him hostage. Please give me some credit.

No, I don't think myself or anyone thinks that.. I believe that I said this is just a bad time for shipping.. busy and all. I'm sure things will work out. I've had packages lost in the mail.. You kind of feel helpless. :p

Perhaps not, but some seem to think that they or someone else needs to drive to San Diego and pick up or mail Nifty themselves even after it's been made plain that I don't have him. I don't mind a little playful ribbing, but the ganging up isn't unnecessary.

Yeah, that would be me. Sorry if it seems I was too much of an *$%*@% (insert your favorite expletive there).

Some months ago, and several pages (when I put my name on the list), I took an interest in getting Nifty moving again as this thread had all but died.
There have been a couple of Nifty's that have broken and a couple that have gone "missing". Either lost in the mail or people have forgotten who had it and lost track.
A few very nice people have donated three more Nifty's to this thread/cause, and I was just hoping that it doesn't happen again.

Please forgive my zeal in trying to keep this going. I meant no harm, nor was I trying to insinuate anything.

Well you actually made it clear after Killjoy posted their comments so why don't you calm down and get over it. Mailing Nov 21, it's Dec 6. No post since and the one before hinted at more photos...let's see why we should think another Nifty is lost?

I understand your desire to keep things moving. I remember how long it took me to get Nifty and how excited I was when he finally arrived. Unfortunately his timing couldn't have been worse. I have a few pictures that I had and still do plan on posting, but things have gone to hell in a handbasket so to speak and I haven't had time to do laundry, let alone enjoy any personal hobbies. I sent Nifty off and haven't had time to check in, but I didn't worry about it because Nifty was on his way.

After responding to a PM by Joayne yesterday and the next person on the list this morning, I was suprised to receive another message tonight on the same subject. I checked the thread to find posts suggesting that I had been remiss in my duties in forwarding Nifty on, and that perhaps other members needed to or should have taken physical action. I was bothered by the collective tenor that I had done something wrong and felt the need to stick up for myself. I apologize for not updating the forum at large, but I didn't realize there was an issue to be resolved.

I appreciate your zeal as I know there have been times when it was needed. Like you, I also hope that Nifty is found very very soon.

Priority shipping is trackable, no? Whoever has the info, let's get onto the USPS and figure out what's up. And I believe Priority includes "free" insurance up to a value of $100. Could be wrong about that.
