on fleabay the AI-s version goes for around $500 last I checked.

So true. Sadly, it's making me doubt buying the Super Tak 35 f/2 and Jupiter-9 85mm. A few more bucks and I could get the equivalent Canon lenses. I do, however, understand why they command such high prices - excellent IQ and they will lasts longer than electronic lenses. I mean the Super Taks I have are older than me. :D

Yes, demand is becoming high for the Taks because not only Canon users but we Olympus users can adapt them, and I just figured out that Pentax users can of course use them also (K mount or the screwmount to K adapter).

Lots of demand for those.

I assume the Jupiter is screwmount version? Same for that lens if that's the case...

I purchased a SMC tak 35/2 not too long ago for $23 and sold it on ebay recently for $170, indeed prices have gone up.

My Zeiss 50mm and my Focal MC 80-200 paid for themselves last night. I shot a fashion show/Ball event totally in manual focus last night and the pics are win. Working on them tonight will post later.
