I just picked up the 2.8 IS version of this lens. I covered a soccer tournament from my living room, it was great! Got it for 3.8 million dollars. It's corner sharpness is a bit lacking which is kinda disappointing when u pay 3.8 million, but i'll live.

Forget that lens, this one is much sharper, sure it is a shorter focal length but it is tack sharp.
