Where can I get myself one of those?
Of course it needs to come with a nice box and a good looking man :)

This is shot using 2 flashes, 50mm with Kenko tubes for macro effect. Thanks!

Kenko tubes rock.

I use mine quite a bit for ring shots. I even prefer them over the 100mm Macro.

I think its great DOF and the centered composition works but sometimes macro works against us when rings look dirty or you can see their imperfections and the color picked up by what I assume is a pool table is pretty strong.. I might try and do some masking to pull some of that color out - I think it'd improve it.

I am super cool n' stuff.

The surface is the TIffany's leather pouch that came with the ring. It's just a bit dark due to lighting selected. The ring is from about June, so it's had a few months of use now. We tried composing it without the black but it added to the quiet structure of the image and I feel it created an element of infinite horizon (not sure how to better explain what I was going for). I too considered pulling the green away from the diamond but wanted to keep it as original as possible. Appreciate your feedback.

Thanks! Sandy

The black horizon also emphasizes the relationship between the black reflection in the ring and the stage it is set on.
