
My Zeiss 50mm and my Focal MC 80-200 paid for themselves last night. I shot a fashion show/Ball event totally in manual focus last night and the pics are win. Working on them tonight will post later.

The first image was PP'd slightly with levels and contrast only. The second pic is a 100% crop of the raw file, no PP other than convert and re-size. If you haven't shot with a Zeiss, you ought to.

Your best bet for an easily adaptable wide lens that won't have any interferences on your 5D, and with excellent IQ, is the Olympus OM 24/2.8 . Excellent lens, small and compact, and only about $150 give or take. Add in a cheap $20 adapter and you're golden. Here's what it looks like:

I picked this up in a trade for Zeiss offerings and have the Zeiss 21 Distagon ZE so I am covered.
