I am planning on getting an AB softbox, but it will be used for air travel so I hope to be able to fit it in my luggage.

Can someone let me know the size of their large softbox (32x40) when folded or apart? Length is what I worry about since most luggage is less than 28 inches long. Please also let me know if you have the foldable or standard version.

Also will the standard version be much more compact while it is apart compare to the foldable version?

Thanks everyone!

AB Large (standard) - 30" (folded)
AB Giant (Standard) - 45" (folded)

The Foldable ones are more or less the same but only thicker on the base when inside the bag because of the speedring.

A flatter one will definitely be the discontinued non-foldable softbox. They're very flat, and the speedring is separate which adds bulk.
