Thanks probably could do it with some PP,maybe even HDR. It's hard to expose it right.

It's hard to expose it right.

"Hard" is an understatement? Layer Masks are powerful tools that allow you to restrict changes to only parts of the image. Time to learn about them!

Love the F-111.

It's too hard to get anything out of a compressed, low-res file. Either post a link to the original RAW or jpg image, or give Adjustment Layers a try. It's not as if it's rocket science? .

sad thing is these old gals are set for retirment in the next few years once the joint strike fighter comes online in the RAAF, maybe sooner when the super hornets arrive

This has been a great airplane. I'll hate to see the old Varks go...I was a crew chief on one at Nellis in the mid-70's (even got a ride in it) loved every minute.
