The bills are all covered by the wife's income, including the credit card debt, and the check I'm getting in January will more than cover the small amount of credit card debt we have. Also, if you're siding with the wife, she said yes to the purchase. And if you've read the thread, you'd know that I sell prints of my pictures, so it is more than just a hobby.

I did read through your post. I was not quite clear what selling prints through fair entails, and what sort of income it generates. I have sold a few prints just by people asking for them after them seeing it hanging in my office, but I would still consider myself strictly as a hobbyist, as my total print sale has netted less than 1000 dollars, and I dont actively seek it, nor do I foresee any reliable income from it. The situation might be very different for you. to each his own.
