The whole concert was awesome, first one I'd been to for years!!

They really got the crowd into it.. heading into crowd few times, and draggin kids up on stage to sing with em, and fire water pistols at crowd..

My 10yr old son loved it hes a mad Greenday fan.

The train home to Franga station really sucked though... Gettin up for work wasnt happening though :o

would love to go tonight if I could afford it

You better buy a few prints as a memory ;)

Imagine what a mad 10 year old Green Day fan would think if Santa delivered a poster size print of the concert he was at...

Congratulations, great set of pics. Love the ones with big sis in particular. Can't really make any constructive criticism beyond that. Well done (and on the pics too).

Hi all.

Bit of a cross post here.... but here goes.. and flat out at work, due to being fresh off paternity leave... so this'll be quick.

As some of you know, my wife Helen was expecting the birth of our second child around now. He decided to be a go getter and arrived early. Caleb was born on 1 December 2009 @ 7:40am weighing in at 3.15kg. I've put together a brief album outlining the first two weeks of his life. They can be found at the link below.

http://photography.intrikit.net/private/caleb/first2weeks/ (external link)

I would love some C&C on anything there. I gave it my best shot at being somewhat creative, but I'm not very versitile with PS/LR apart from basic tonal changes.

Helen's doing well. Getting sick at the moment due to temperature changes in Brisbane. Jess is very much the mother duck... always wanting to cuddle and help out so I think we're very blessed in that respect. Caleb is also doing well... eating well and in roughly a 4 hour routine. Hopefully he can stretch his night time nap a bit longer soon!!

Anyway... hopefully work begins to taper off a bit so I can check in here again more regularly

Catch up with you all soon.

Thanks Andrew. She loves being a big sister too (thank goodness). Hopefully it continues! :D

Today was expensive..

I got a circular polarising filter and 4 x 8GB Extreme (the new ones) CF cards from Digital Discount. The cards were the same price as the Extreme III, so I thought "why not?". Then in a similar vein, plus some "f it, I might as well", I went looking around for a Canon M80. Managed to reserve the last one from Teds. It was on special, down from $1099 to $699.. or $650 if I pay cash. :p

Feng - great shots, especially the ones with Caleb and his sister :)

Well done. A much more realistic price, given the price of memory these days.

Haha so true. On another plus side, the battery it comes with is the same type of battery I use in the 40D. Since I won't have the M80 on for long at a time, it's essentially a spare battery.

Good score!

They do chew through batteries with heavy use (transferring 20-30GB from cards) but it is handy if you have spare camera batteries.

Ahh, that's good to know. I think I'd mainly be using it to transfer photos at the end of each day, so I *should* have access to a charger (reminder: DO NOT FORGET TO BRING THE CHARGER!).

Another bonus - the M80 comes with a batt charger so you will now have two.
