I think at F5.6 this lens is super sharp . Is there any F stop that you think is sharp also ?

it's pretty much sharp throughout the whole range. i might stop it down to f/2 to get rid of the CA, but aside from that, the 35L is good throughout it's whole aperture range. i suppose if you're nitpicking, anything between f/5.6 to f/8 or so should be your best bet.

Even f/1.4 is razor sharp. Two pictures from a few weeks ago:

The roof of the Duomo in Firenze is more than 80m (240ft) of the ground level. This shot was taken kneeling on the floor. Hand held, ISO 400, f/1.4, 1/125s.

Thank you - I find that the 35L makes ordinary objects and situations extraordinary. It really is a joy to use and I highly recommend picking one up.
