Make a folder called MUSIC and copy your music there. Plug the drive into the PS3 and then turn on the PS3. Navigate to the music symbol on the bar and find the external drive. You 'should' see all your music. On a folder press the triangle and on the right of the screen it says copy. Didn't try it all the way but it should copy the music to the PS3.
