D700? Which Canon body is that??? Are you testing out a new secret camera? :D

Yes I know it is a canon forum. But I'm just feeling excited about this new lens that I got today, so want to share how it looks like on a FF camera@12mm

Sorry if my post bothers anyone..

Is it Sai Kung in Hong Kong??

nope its tagaytay Philippines.. its the Taal Volcano ..

Btw, You got nice shots of a mall... Must resist buying a full frame... Until I have the Dough.. camera gear here is quite expensive for our salary bracket..

gotten from wiki..
Taal Volcano is a complex volcano on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. It is situated between the towns of Talisay and San Nicolas in Batangas. It consists of an island in Lake Taal, which is situated within a caldera formed by an earlier, very powerful eruption. It is located about 50 km (31 Miles) from the capital, Manila. It is one of the active volcanos in the Philippines, all part of the Pacific ring of fire.
It was thought to be named as "a volcano inside a volcano" because many believed that the lake that circles the volcano was once a crater or mouth of a volcano.

Thanks for the detailed information mate. I thought it was in HK.

Full frame camera seems to be the trend, hope you get a 5D MK2 or 1 series ASAP.

I belong to a Nikon forum and I have never owned a single piece of Nikon equipment. I am welcomed there as much as any Nikon owner.

Agreed - FF and "bugeye" (as I like to call it) work really well together. You haven't seen wide angle until you've seen this lens on a FF camera! Even a 10-? lens on a normal (1.6 or 1.5) crop camera doesn't go nearly as wide. I'll post an example when I can get it together!

Just be careful walking around with it at 12mm up to your eye.

Would be interesting to see a video with it on a 5D II!

Hey, im owning a classic canon 5d and im considering about getting the wide angle lens. The subject which im working on is nightclub photos.
What do you guys think about this lense(Sigma 12-24mm) in Nightclub photos? The only thing that bothers me for now it's aperture - 4.5-5.6, a little bit dark? No? Any of you tried it in clubs? Any suggestions?

thanks

Ive never actually tried when I did club work with my 12-24. You might have problems with shadowing at 12mm+flash.
