Met up with Julie last Saturday since it was a very nice day out. I'm pretty happy with how they came out. There's a few more along with setup shots on my flickr, feel free to take a look. What do you guys think??

I think they're a bit underexposured and that you should use a faster aperture for a little backgroundblur.

Love #3 and 4! Rich textures and color. Great pp and locations.
Agree that some bokeh could enhance. May need ND filter to shoot larger aperture if it's really bright out.

Thanks guys. The only one I see as underexposed is #3 and that one I was going for a little darker/edgier look.

And that's exactly what I've been meaning to get Peter lol I'll hopefully be able to pick one up next week.

Thanks everyone!

Misha - Never really thought about that haha I appreciate the advice, I'll definitely keep that in mind for next time.

Mike - No HDR at all. Just dodge/burn to make details pop.

Beautiful light I think you did a great job. What time of the morning was it? Lovely sunrise. I think the detail and definition is really nice change to seeing things blurred out, especially with the subject lit so nicely.

I might be wrong but wouldn't kneeling give the model a double chin? I was always told never shoot up on a model. Or do you mean still shoot straight on?

Very nice set for still practicing. I am in the same situation. What are you using? I really like the pp on number 3!

Or I would use longer focal length.

In most of the cases, that wasn't an option.

Thanks Karl! It was around 1pm that we met up and then shot until the sun went down.

Thanks man, I'm using 1 ab800 through a 47" octabox
