love both of them airbutchie. where were they shot from if you don't mind sharing? doubt i'll be making any trips over to cali anytime soon, but just from your images alone, i feel like the view would be worth putting on the to-see list if i was in your neck of the woods. =)

Just awesome! Got to love the 2.8 L's. Expensive but so worth it! Love the photo too! That's why I am saving for my next one. It is all so worth it in the end!

Thanks for the comment alt...

#1 was from atop a viewpoint on a street called Mulholland Drive... It's a windy road throughout a mountainside near Hollywood... This is one of the scenic spots you can stop along the route to take pictures...

#2 was taken at the world famous Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles... Besides the beautiful views you can capture, it's a great place to learn and absorb information about our galaxy and universe...

Anyhoo, thanks for asking... I'm glad you liked the images I captured...

Nice! I wonder if this will drive down the prices of the older versions of this lens, thus making it more affordable for someone like me. :)

Not for a while I guess. I can only assume that the new lens will have a hefty price tag on it.
