Kodak disposable, Ansco 35mm disk, Polaroid my parents gave me. That's about all I need really.

Welcome to the forum....I'd have to agree with you on the appearance of the car, but sometimes you have to work with what you got. I can appreciate the action shot you were trying to achieve but I think that you would have got better results with a slightly faster shutter speed so as to get the car in sharper focus. Not sure if I'd call the location a win, but the last one certainly, in my opinion, is a much more pleasing composition. Have a look at PHOTOSGUY's links. He too can be found in the transportation forum....he's got some very worthwile links to help with automobile photography.

I think you should take a look at some of my tutorials on car photography (external link) to avoid the mistakes in these shots.

The action shots are blurry, the background is way too cluttered for my taste to be honest, never have people inside the car for a static shot, you have poles growing out of the car in the last shot ... and it's dirty. Unless you want a rough look you should avoid photographing a dirty car, I'm sure with a bit of work and training you will be able to get some great shots.

Welcome to transportation, I am actually looking for a location nearby that has a repeated pattern as your first shot. But the blue colour is to strong in my opinion, easily fixed in PP.

And maybe shoot straight forward on the background.

I don't really know what to say.

I don't know where to start on these either, but understand that you're going to shoot everything in sight when you start out. ;)

The light on it is an improvement over your first thread, especially in #8, but the backgrounds are too busy & are reflecting in the body.
I like what you're trying to do in the rolling shots & #3 would work for me with a better background. You shot at 32mm. Zoom in on the action next time & frame it tighter.

Again, see the links in my Sig and try to concentrate on everything in the frame next time. "Film" is cheap. Shoot lots. MOVE YOUR FEET! Show the best.
My Malibu isn't very pretty either, but you can always find a way to make a "Plain Jane" look pretty good. Detroit has been doing it for decades.

Industrial locations (or empty parking garages) seem to be popular for car shots, but I'd rather see something a little more scenic for the static shots.

When I bought a used truck, I took it to a street bordering a local park to get some shots of it. I like this kind of shot much more than the "loading dock" location.

I can live with some tilt IF the light & reflections in the car are good & the background isn't crappy. Usually tilts are just an excuse to make an uninteresting shot interesting.

I agree. The location in the MOVE YOUR FEET! thread is easy to drive past without noticing it, but it worked well for the "Beast" shots.

I don't get "Location WIN" in the title...

"ya around windsor, all there really is is industrial places and a few parks"

You have the riverfront for starters. Lots of free parks along the strip. A nice international bridge or RenCen in the BG...
