A little flair, but understandable in this condition. [30D with 135L]

Nice shot!

With the sun showing itself at last in Finland (been a terrible winter light wise so far) I finally got to take some pics with my new 135L. Obviously these are the first pics from me in this thread, thanks to all of you for showing great examples of why I needed to buy this lens!

I would love to have this lens, but I have a 100mm f/2.8 macro already (which is good for everything else, too), so I don't think I really need it. But those pictures, man. I love browsing this thread. Keep them coming!

My first shot with the 135L. Please excuse the harsh flash, this was only meant to be a test image.

Benefits of the 135L are...faster focusing...color/contrast...and the bokeh is days better than the 100mm macro. Don't get me wrong... I'm a huge fan of the 100mm macro... but... the 135L is a step up IMO.

Is the 135 a Wildlife Lens? Here's a shot the first time out with my 1.4x extender. It blew away my EF 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS, even in poor light with IS on. Shot at f/4, 1/200 with steady hands only. I love this lens! No I just need to get back to Woody's nest to get some better shots of him!

I am sure nobody here really mind the harsh flash but I am pretty sure this poor kitty did :p

I just bought this lens for shooting pets and urban animals and from the looks of it I made the right choice now I am just worried about my skills :(
