Nikon 70-200 has always been more expensive so I doubt they will use their same pricing. Plus the Nikon remake of the 70-200 is a huge design change from the previous version, this Canon remake seems like the same thing (just improved glass elements), to me this is a stupid upgrade, I would rather see the 24-70 MkII release. I've owned a lot of glass in the past but the 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 IS are my workhorses and the reason why I switched to Nikon (cause I believe the Nikon counterparts are better ergonomically designed than the Canon ones, plus IQ is about the same, and yes you do pay a hefty price difference).
