I've been testing this baby out quit a bit. Had another family fun shoot last night with the 24-105mm lens. I planned on selling it but it's pretty darn nice.

Beautiful shot, love it! Did you use any filters for this?

nope all glass..that is straight off the camera. I used a 1987 EF 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 II

I used a 580 EX II flash (with the flash turned off) to focus assist. Without the flash focus was very slow and difficult with lots of hunting, but with the focus assist it was easy. You just have to put up with people telling you that your flash did not fire :)

i hv mounted the flash and without turning on... i still can't fire off the camera.. it's still hunting for focus when i tried to take a dark room without any light. I still cant achv the total darkness shot..anyone has done it before?

Sorry for the confusion...it must be powered up but then you can disable the flash via the menu on the camera.
