Picked up a 70-200 F4 L IS today. Taken with 1D Mark II N. Pretty sharp combo!

I feel guilty looking at this thread. I recently bought a 135L and I haven't touched this lens since. All of your shots inspire me to start using it again. It is such a fun lens to use.

I agree, it's hard to reach for the 70-200 when you have the magic of the 135L.

I've actually toyed with the idea of swapping my 70-200 for the 135L. At events, I'm covered with my 24-70, so I think I can give up the range of the 70-200 AND I'd gain TWO stops!

But the little white guy is such a sweet lens, I haven't had the stomach to do it yet.

Hey fellas, I've just sold my 70-200 f/4L IS. Had to pay off some bills and didn't have much of a choice. I believe I had an exceptionally good copy of the lens and I've enjoyed every moment of it (over the past three years). I've racked up 30 or so photo posts in this thread over this time, and I'm fairly sad that I won't be able to contribute to this great place anymore. I may join this thread again in the future, but as of now, I'm off. Best of luck to all the awesome f/4L IS owners out there! :)

Are you meaning to say "Awesome owners of the f/4L IS," or "Owners of the awesome f/4L IS." ? Either way, you're correct... we ARE an awesome bunch damnit!;) And the lens is, too. I hope you get the chance to own another down the road. Good luck with the bills :(.

I acquired an expensive camera so I can hang out in forums, annoy wedding photographers during formals and look down on P&S users... all the while telling people it's the photographer, not the camera.

5D2, ISO1600, 1/60th. It didn't turn out as sharp as I would've liked, but the cat was there for only a second. It's a pretty heavy crop to boot (2000x2500).

it's still pretty darn sharp if you ask me.

Thanks for the info - am thinking about this lens and wondering what it is like for evening walkabout capabilities. I only have a 450d though so my 1600 ISO setting can be noisy.
