You can use Bing cashback and bring it down 8%... not bad... BUT make sure to check with Canon if they are in fact an authorized dealer. I have never heard of them and couldn't find them on resellerratings.com.
Good luck!

I will be sure to research them to make sure they are indeed an authorized dealer. New to the Bing Cashback! How does that work?

Yea.. they're authorized. Cardinal Camera...Ive purchased a few things from them in the past. They were very easy to deal with.

But if you're buying a 7d.. this is alot cheaper and they're authorized

$1499-8%bing = $1379

You save about $430 from the one you posted. But you don't get the lenses.

Good price, but then I have to purchase all the equipment that comes with the other one. The 1st link not only includes the lenses, but memory cards, caring pack, tripods, etc. I'm sure if I were to purchase the body alone for $1,400, the added costs for everything else would exceed $2,000, no?

You could probably pick up the 18-55is and 55-250is for $300 slightly used. I'm not sure if the other pieces and parts (besides the Slingshot) would be worth the extra. The tripod looks flimsy to me.

Thank you. I'll be sure to look in the classifieds for lenses.

I signed up for bing, but can't find the 1st link on the site. I see other 7Ds, but not the 1st kit.

Thanks for all of your help guys!

500HP, just sign into your BING account, then come back here and click on the link that Drozz posted. You should see this at the top of the page:

IMAGE: http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/promo/magic/pmoGleam8_150x23.gif

Then, hit the BUY IT NOW button and you'll see the amount of the rebate on the next page, $120 in this case. You then hit the COMMIT TO BUY button and pay via Paypal.

That's it. It works this way for all Bing cashback purchases on Ebay. Just make sure you're signed in to Bing 1st, then make sure you do the BUY IT NOW option and pay via Paypal. All 3 of those steps are needed to get your cashback rebate.

By the way, I agree with the others, those lenses are not worth the extra cash... and the other extras are not worth buying. You're better off to buy quality items from the start and avoid buying junk only to need to buy quality stuff later. It will save you lots of cash in the long run.

Good luck with whatever you do.

Mark

i fell for the same type of package deal when bought my XSI+kit lens+cheap zoom
well... shortly after i started shooting and practicing i ended up selling kit lens and zoom as used and obviously cheaper then new... and put the $$ towards much better glass... now i wish i just got the body in the 1st place
well, lesson learned...
but thats just my 2 cents, you might be happy with kit lens and the zoom...

I was JUST about to place the order, and the price went up. Any other ideas?!

I would stay away from any of the ebay "bundle" kits. 90% of the stuff is crap. Find a decent priced 7d on ebay using cashback and then pick up both of those lenses used for less than $300.

right on the money.

most ebay store kits sell you useless garbage that adds hundreds of dollars to the price sometimes... stick with the basics, look for deals on used or new lenses...

You can get both of those lenses for $308 from Adorama if you buy them as Canon factory refurbished. They are good starter lenses, but you may outgrow them rather quickly. I assume this is your first DSLR... are you sure you want a 7D to start with?
