I missed this $45.99 deal at New Egg a few weeks ago, anybody know of other great deals for Photoshop 8.0 ??

https://photography-on-the.net …t=795662&highlight=newegg

Amazon is showing $76.49 - $20 Rebate.

My friend just ordered it for $58.99 with Free Shipping but it said "Slim Box" and he just got the Disc with No other literature, manuals or box etc to cut off the proof of purchase and send in a rebate. Is this Version OK and Legit ?

Costco has it for $85 so it sounds like Amazon is the best so far.

I see some Elements 8 ads for "OEM Software" at decent prices. ($55.00)

Can somebody explain what this OEM means ? (I did a quick search here and didn't find anything).

* Is it still the same Photoshop Elements 8 software ?

* Is this a Legit & Legal version ?

* Is it still eligible for the $20 Adobe Rebate ?

* What the the Pros / Cons of getting this over the Retail Version ?

Pro's are you get it cheap. Con's are you get no box. I bought my version that way, OEM. It's completely legit and not "student licensing" or anything like that. Works like a champ. I really didn't need it but for the price I took a shot. I was completely happy with PSE7.

I actually have my full retail boxed version 7 for sale for $45.00 shipped if you're interested. I really don't see any huge improvements with version 8. Here's my FS link if interested: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=801882

Keep watching Costco... they run a $50 special on it with the coupon circular every couple of months or so...

Just bought it on Amazon. Can't beat the $57 plus 2 day shipping (if you're Prime). Saw it at Costco yesterday for $79 and it's not on the current coupons. Patience isn't one of my strong points so can't wait for a coupon. Thanks for the tip!

This might be a stupid question, but I have the trial version already downloaded and I only need to buy the code. Since I don't need the actual software shipped to me, is there anywhere that I could buy just the code that would be cheaper than purchasing and shipping the actual software?

I purchased a copy of element 8 on Ebay - a license for two computers for $40.00 Worked fine. It held me over for a couple weeks until I got CS4 running on Windows 7
