I read somewhere there are units which go between the flash head and powercord which beep when the unit is recycled. Anyone know of such units or is it in fairy land?

Thanks.
Ed

Will the AB's not turn the modeling light on and off so you know they fired?

My ABs have never beeped. If they did i'd rip the speaker out. They recharge so fast it's not an issue for me.

The electronics for a 'flash ready' beep would have to be inside the strobe. There's no way to have anything inline between the wall outlet and the strobe that would tell you the flash is ready or know when the capacitors are fully charged.

I just had a brainstorm idea for this - not that I'd care to use it, though.

Build a one-shot beeper with a light bulb screw base. Screw it into the modeling light sockets. When it powers down and back up, it would beep once.
