a) You could have dressed nicer for the occasion
b) You were fiddling with the tape like a 13 year old fiddling with a bra
c) Had you ripped open the inner box that was holding the body, and then realized that the sides opened, that would have made me chuckle more
d) Great video
e) Congrats :)

LOL, great critique. :) On another forum a guy said "at least now we know we don't have to fear you in a knife fight". :D

I chuckled when I wrote it :). Good choice with the Scorpions. Been a while since I heard that tune

Someone had asked for a comparison of the 5D2 and the 1D4 in terms of high ISO performance.

These were taken shooting in RAW with the Standard Picture setting and processed using DPP (all default settings). They were exported to JPG by DPP and posted directly to SmugMug. No editing (not even white balance correction) was done.

Both cameras were set to AWB and 70mm using a 24-70 f/2.8L lens.

The 5D2 looks pretty good, but as I've noted before it tends to under expose a bit, probably 1/2 stop. ISO wise the 5D2 holds its own against the 1D4. I would say the 1D4 looks a little better, but not much.

Congrats!!

Man I got excited butterflies in my stomach like a kid on Christmas morning just watching the unboxing video.

The ISO shots look great!

Those shots look pretty sweet at 12800. To my eyes, looks about a stop better than the 1D3, what do you think since you had a 1D3 before?

I can sharpen that Emerson for ya if you want. 34 seconds to cut the box open? Shameful really...

It does need sharpening, but I missed the seam in my excitement and ran the tip down the box itself and not the seam/tape. I gave up after the second pass. :D
